The Wiff is Life League Waves will be competing in three national championship tournaments this year, and the first is this weekend. The Waves head to New Carlisle, Indiana for the Hometown Cup, the National Wiffle slow pitch championship.
The Waves are set to make their first appearance ever at the slow pitch national championship, officially sanctioned by National Wiffle. The WILL will be represented by Jake Davey, Rob Licht, Adam Carosone, and Cree Gardner.
80 teams are will compete at the Hometown Cup this year. Waves pool play begins at 10 am on Saturday and continues with games at 12 pm, 2 pm, and 4 pm. A single elimination bracket will play out on Sunday with the top 48 teams from pool play.

The two other national championships are the NWLA, which is fast pitch, clean ball, with base running , and United Wiffle, which is fast pitch, modified ball, without base running. They take place in September and October, respectively.
