Pitching:
Austin Berger and Gino Joseph team up for the second this season. Back on Opening Day the duo played with Jordan Castelli and finished second. They will likely be one of the few teams that throw fastpitch all day long, with two power arms. Berger comes into the Finale second in time spent on the rubber this season, 33.2 innings. His ERA went up a tad after being touched up in medium pitch last tournament, as it now sits at 1.93. Berger is third in the league in strikeouts, at 34, and second in WHIP, at 0.77. Joseph is right up there with Berger in pitching stats. He comes in at 5-1, with 42 K’s, and a third in the league ERA of 1.67. Joseph and Berger will be competing to climb to the top of the pitching leader categories with current leader, Chris Sarnowski, missing the Finale.
Hitting:
Joseph is a quality two way player that will likely have to carry the offense this weekend. He comes in hitting .311 with six home runs. Berger has five home runs and is hitting .217 on the year, with the likelihood of facing mostly medium pitch he will probably produce well above what his numbers show.
Newbie:
Tyler Zadrozny will be playing in his first WILL tournament this Sunday.
