Matchup History
High Heat defeated LFG Slimeball in their lone matchup this season.
Melnyk Homers Twice and Throws Gem To Defeat LFG Slimeballs
“Maxx Melnyk homered to lead off the bottom of the first and then again in the third to help propel High Heat to a 7-1 victory over LFG Slimeball. Melnyk was the winning pitcher, as well. He went all five innings, struck out five and did not walk a single Slimeball. Bursic was 5-for-8 at the plate in the loss.”
Slugs defeated LFG in their lone matchup this season.
Slimeballs Get Slugged
“The LFG Slimeballs were short a man for the early part of their games on Saturday. Vinnie Ninehouser and Reed Bursic were the two holding it down for the Slimeballs. The Slugs filled the scoresheet with 19 hits, two of which were longballs by Davey. Bursic and Ninehouser each hit home runs in the game, but the Slugs offense was too much this game.”
Slugs defeated High Heat in their lone matchup this season.
Slugs Edge Out High Heat In Pitcher's Duel
“Nate Morris started on the rubber and went four plus innings for the Slugs. He chilled the High Heat bats with three strikeouts and only allowed two hits, both singles, in his outing. Tim Marra relieved Morris in the fifth inning and induced a game ending double play to pick up his first save of the season. Tim was the lone source of offense in the entire game, as hit a home run to lead off the bottom of the third for the Slugs. Maxx Melnyk was the arm for High Heat and other than the one hiccup to Marra, he shut down the Slugs who put up 12 runs earlier in the day.”
