1-0 vs. All Runs Are Bombs

Flamingos Hold On To Beat All Runs Are Bombs

“Jordan Castelli led the game off with a home run for the Flamingos, and that would be the only run through the first three innings of play. The Flamingos extended their lead, to 4-0, in the top of the fourth with a Steve Keelon three run blast after two walks. Rob Licht got All Runs Are Bombs on the board in the bottom half of the fourth with a solo bomb. Castelli cancelled that out however, with a solo shot of his own in the top of the fifth. Adam Carosone led off the bottom of the fifth with a homer to make it 5-2. Licht followed with a single making it look as if the ARAB's were starting a last inning rally, but Keelon got the next two batters out and secured the Flamingos win. Keelon threw the complete game and struck out five with no walks, while Licht was the pitcher for the Bombers.”

1-3 vs. Boneyard Wiffle

“Boneyard Wiffle put up six runs in the top of the third inning to take a 6-2 lead over the Flamingos at the midway point of the game. Austin Berger hit his second home run of the game in the bottom half to make it 6-5. Steve Keelon tied things up in the fourth with a solo shot. The game stood at a standstill, 6-6, at the end of regulation. In the top of the sixth, Chris Sarnowski belted a two run homer and then closed the door in the bottom half to secure the BYW win. Sarnowski and Eric Diffendal each had two homers in the game. Steve Keelon was the losing arm, while Sarnowski pitched the complete game win for Boneyard.”

Flamingos Force If Necessary Game on Field 2

“Austin Berger shut down the Boneyard offense to help the Flamingos force an if necessary game on Field 2's bracket. Berger threw all five innings, allowed two runs on three hits and struck out three. Both runs and two of the hits came in the bottom of the fifth, after the Flamingos built an 8 run lead throughout the game. The eight runs came on three Jordan Castelli home runs, as well as solo shots by Gino Joseph and Steve Keelon. Chris Sarnowski threw all five for Boneyard and got the loss.”

Boneyard Wins Week 4's Field 2 Bracket

“Chris Sarnowski and Eric Diffendal put on an offensive clinic to propel Boneyard to Field 2 bracket champions in Week 4. The offense rolled all game long, with four runs in the second, two in the third, three in the fourth, and one in the fifth. They each had two home runs in the game. The Flamingos battled right there with them, but could not get any late inning magic. Steve Keelon had two homers for the Flamingos. Sarnowski threw the complete game victory from the rubber, while Austin Berger opposed him and got tabbed with the loss.”

Boneyard Downs Flamingos For Perfect Week 3

“Boneyard set the tone early with a leadoff home run by Cole Lanni. Ty Zadrozny added a home run later in the top of the first to cap off a five run first for Boneyard. Zadrozny struck again in the second to put Boneyard Wiffle up 6-0. Eric Diffendal joined in on the home run action with a two run shot in the third, which extended the lead to eight runs for Boneyard. The Flamingos veteran offense would not go down without a fight, as they plated five runs in the bottom of the fourth, highlighted by a Steve Keelon home run, to narrow the deficit to two. Zadrozny belted home run number three to lead off the fifth. Lanni shut down the Flamingos comeback attempt in the fifth to secure his W on the rubber. Keelon got the L for the Flamingos.”

2-1 vs. Lumberkings

Cadez Shuts Out Flamingos; Lumberkings Win Bracket Opener

“Jake Cadez cruised past one of the top rated offenses in the league, behind great defense and two strikeouts. Cadez allowed two runners on in the first, but after that no inning saw more than one Flamingo on the base paths. All four runs for the Lumberkings came in the top of the fifth. Frank Fortunato broke the scoreless tie with a two run home run, then Christian Johnson followed with one of his own three batters later. Gino Joseph threw the complete game for the Flamingos, he struck out 6 and got tabbed with the loss. Austin Berger led the Flamingos with two hits.”

Flamingos Force Deciding Game With 6 Run 4th Inning

“The Flamingos were down 5-0 going into the bottom of the fourth. Austin Berger led the inning off with a single, then Gino Joseph blasted a two run home run and the bats came alive for the squad in pink. Four more hits, a walk, and a throwing error put the Flamingos ahead by a run, the go ahead run came across after a throwing error by the Lumberkings right fielder. Steve Keelon, the starting pitcher, closed the door in the top of the fifth with two strikeouts. Christian Johnson hit a home run in the second to put the Lumberkings up early. Joseph Leads Flamingos to Field 3 Bracket Victory

“Gino Joseph hit two home runs and pitched a complete game, allowing two runs on seven hits while striking out five, to give the Flamingos the Field 3 Bracket victory during Week 2. His first home run came in the third and it was a grand slam, which put the Flamingos ahead 4-2. His second was a two run shot in the fourth, making Joseph responsible for all six runs for the pink squad. Christian Johnson gave the Lumberkings the lead in the first with a single. Justin Davey added a solo home run in the second inning for the Kings. Cadez tossed the complete game for the light blue.”
