Lanni Walk-Off Home Run Advances Boneyard Past Lumberkings

“Cole Lanni and Jake Cadez went pitch for pitch through the regulation 5 innings, as each pitcher allowed just two base runners. In the sixth inning, Cole Lanni belted a home run over the right field fence to advance Boneyard in the 2021 playoffs. The Lumberkings lone scoring threat came in the top of the first, when they hit back-to-back one out singles but stranded the runners. Lanni got the pitching win, throwing six scoreless innings and striking out 6 with no walks. Cadez was the tough luck losing pitcher, as he dealt 5.1 innings of two hit ball.”

(6) Flamingos vs. (3) All Runs Are Bombs

FINAL: 3-1 Flamingos | BOX SCORE | LIVE STREAM

Flamingos Upset All Runs Are Bombs In Playoff Opener

“Steve Keelon and Austin Berger hit back-to-back home runs in the second inning, and that would prove to be enough for the Flamingos to pull off the upset of third seeded All Runs Are Bombs in the opening round. Steve Keelon pitched the complete game and allowed one run on four hits and no walks to earn the victory. Keelon retired eight straight Bombers from the third batter of the game to the bottom of the fifth. Brett Carosone got the loss after just one hiccup in an otherwise well pitched outing. Carosone went all five innings and allowed just one baserunner after the second inning.”

(7) Lumberkings vs. (3) All Runs Are Bombs

FINAL: 11-1 All Runs Are Bombs | BOX SCORE | LIVE STREAM

All Runs Are Bombs Bounce Back To Eliminate Lumberkings

“Frank Fortunato put the Lumberkings ahead in the top of the first with a solo home run, but that would be the only run the light blue squad could plate. All Runs Are Bombs turned it on in the second inning with home runs by Rob Licht and Greyden Piechnick to complete a five run inning. They added six more in the bottom of the fourth with home runs by Adam Carosone and Zach Faigley. Brett Carosone settled in after the first inning home run and did not allow a hit the rest of the way to earn the win.”

(6) Flamingos vs. (2) Boneyard Wiffle

FINAL: 6-4 Boneyard Wiffle | BOX SCORE | LIVE STREAM

Boneyard Advances To Bracket B Finals Unbeaten

“Boneyard Wiffle put themselves in great position with a 6-4 victory over the Flamingos in Bracket B's winner's bracket final. After Cole Lanni struck out the side in the top of the first, Chris Sarnowski and Ty Zadrozny hit back-to-back home runs in the bottom half to put Boneyard out in front early. The Flamingos answered with a pair of runs in the second off three singles and two walks, tying the game at 2. Boneyard took the lead back (5-2) in the bottom of the second with a three run homer, after the Flamingos committed an error earlier in the inning that would have got them out of the inning scoreless. Another costly error was committed in the third inning when BYW plated their sixth run. A two run home run by Steve Keelon in the fourth inning narrowed the score to 6-4, but that would be as close as the Flamingos could get. Lanni earned the win with five strikeouts over his five innings of work. Keelon got tabbed with the L for the Flamingos.”

(3) All Runs Are Bombs vs. (6) Flamingos

FINAL: 9-0 All Runs Are Bombs | BOX SCORE | LIVE STREAM

ARAB's Avenge Opening Round Loss; Eliminate Flamingos

“Brett Carosone shut down the Flamingos offense, tossing a complete game shutout with two strikeouts and one walk, while giving up two hits. Adam Carosone got the Bombers on the board with a two run home run in the first inning and a solo shot in the fourth. All Runs Are Bombs broke it open in the bottom of the fifth with a lead off home run by Zach Faigley, followed by four singles, and capped off with a Rob Licht homer to make the score 9-0. Keelon suffered the loss for the Flamingos from the rubber. Austin Berger had each of the Flamingos lone hits.”

(3) All Runs Are Bombs vs. (2) Boneyard Wiffle

FINAL: 3-2 Boneyard Wiffle (7inn) | BOX SCORE | LIVE STREAM

7th Inning Walk-Off Sends Boneyard To Championship Series

“Regulation play was not enough to settle the Bracket B finals matchup between All Runs Are Bombs and Boneyard Wiffle. Each team pushed one run across in regulation play. Boneyard struck first with a Ty Zadrozny homer to lead off the bottom of the third inning. All Runs Are Bombs answered in the fourth with three singles to lead off the inning and scored on a sac fly by Greyden Piechnick. Each team went down in order in the sixth inning. Rob Licht led off the top of the seventh, for ARAB, with a triple and scored on Piechnick's ground out the next at bat. ARAB took the one run lead (2-1) into the bottom of the seventh looking to force the if necessary game, but Boneyard had different plans. After a lead off flyout, Eric Diffendal bombed a game tying homer to left field to keep Boneyard alive. Cole Lanni followed with a single. Then, Chris Sarnowski belted a long shot to center field that was headed for a home run, ARAB's outfielder batted the ball back in play and scrambled to throw it back into the pitchers circle, but they could not get it in before Lanni raced around the bases to score the winning run from first base. Lanni was the winning pitcher, as well. He threw all seven innings, gave up five hits, struck out five and walked one. Brett Carosone got tabbed with the loss for ARAB, he too threw a complete game, gave up five hits, but walked three and struck out two.”
