Waves Announce 2021 Schedule

The Wiff is Life League Waves have announced their schedule for the 2021 season. They will be traveling to five tournaments, across a variety of Wiffle styles this year.

The Waves will open up play at two Mid Atlantic Wiffle events in June. The opening tournament will be in Ocean City, Maryland on Saturday, June 12. Two weeks later, the squad will return to the diamond for the MAW Wiffle Wars tournament on Saturday, June 26 in York, Pennsylvania.

One tournament is on the slate for July, as the Waves will enter the Hometown Cup in New Carlisle, Indiana for the first time. The Hometown Cup is the slow-pitch national championship, and is one of National Wiffle’s Grand Slam events this year.

In September, the Waves will play in their fifth consecutive National Wiffle League Association National Tournament. They will look to rebound from a flustered 2020 tournament, as they tried to balance hosting and playing. This year’s tournament will be played in Indianapolis, Indiana over the weekend of September 17-19.

The Waves will round out their season over the weekend of October 22-24 at the United Wiffle National Championship in York, Pennsylvania. The WILL had their best tournament of 2020 at the inaugural UW tournament, with a 14th place finish in the talented 40 team field.

WILL went 8-14 in 2020 over five tournaments, all of the fast pitch variety.
