Maxx Melnyk, of High Heat, has earned Primanti Bros. Player of the Week honors for Week 2 of the 2022 WILL season. Melnyk hit an incredible .833, only getting out two times in his 12 at bats, to help lead High Heat to a 2-1 day.
The right handed batter belted four home runs across the three games, including two in his 3-for-5 performance versus Oakdale. Melnyk was a perfect 3-for-3 in the opening game versus the Sea Turtles and 4-for-4 in their third game, a win over the Banana Slugs.
On the season, Maxx leads the entire league in batting average, at .667 (22-for-33) and is tied for third in home runs with eight.
