Eleven Teams Set For 2022 Season

Updated: Jun 6, 2022

It is a rinse and repeat for the 2022 edition of the the Wiff is Life League. Eleven teams will compete across four regular season gamedays, occurring each Monday in June, followed by playoffs on July 11 and the Championship Series the following Monday.

Meet the Teams

Eight teams return from last year, yet just two have the same exact roster.

The 2021 Champions, Boneyard Wiffle, will be running it back with the same six. Boneyard went through the regular season and earned the 2-seed in the playoffs. They rolled through the postseason with five straight wins to win the title and end the season on a nine-game win streak.

The Lumberkings, who went 6-10 last season, will bring the same five man crew back this summer.

Notable Moves:

All Runs Are Bombs rebrands back to the Beavers, Rob Licht departs squad and joins Steve Keelon and Jordan Castelli on the Sea Turtles.

Splunkers trim roster to four and pick up Mikey Sullivan, who hit .606 last summer over 33 at bats.

Roman Noodles look to return to the title game with the core-three from last season and bring Tyler Schoenfelder onto the squad this year.

Banana Slugs bring back the same four and add Brock McCormack off of the now defunct Abyss. McCormack hit .361 with three home runs in 2021.

High Heat bulks up their roster to a full six and will look to make some noise this summer after a winter full of preparation.

Rookie Squads:

Prestige World Wide and the Ball Busters bring young talent to the league, while friends of Boneyard Wiffle created the Oakdale Curve.
