Format:
The Winter WILL takes on a unique individual format, where players take turns batting (2 outs and switch) against each of the other players. The same goes for pitching. After everyone has pitched and batted against each of the other players twice, the person with the most runs wins the event. The players who are not up to bat or pitch, play the field. All gameplay rules stay the same as the 2020 summer season WILL.
Players make a donation to the Washington County Food Bank as entry fees for the Winter WILL.
Players:
Jordan Castelli, Jake Davey, Steve Keelon, Nate Morris
Results:
Jordan Castelli put up four runs in Round 3 and that would prove to be enough to win his second straight Winter WILL title. Castelli outlasted Nate Morris (3 runs), Jake Davey (1 run), and Steve Keelon (0 runs) to win the eight round event.
Davey got the scoring started early with one run, off of Keelon, in the first at bats of the day. The bats were quiet though after that, and stayed that way for just about the whole event. Round 3 was the only other round to have runs scored in it, as Castelli got his 4 runs on a grand slam, off of Keelon, and Morris plated three during his turn in the box, against Davey.
Castelli did not allow a run in his six innings on the rubber, and Morris threw five shutout innings.
