The WILL Waves are set to hit the road on Saturday (May 11) to open their 2019 campaign. They will be traveling to Rochester, NY to take part in the Ontario County Wiffle Association’s Opening Day Tournament. The roster is limited to 2-3 players per team, by rule. Jake Davey will be accompanied by Rob Licht for the one day tournament.
The rule set for Ontario County Wiffle Association (OCWA), features a pitch speed limit, banana bat, and no base-running. The pitch speed is 55 mph. Hits are obtained depending on where you hit the ball, similar to Mid Atlantic style. There are a couple of house rules in the mix as well. OCWA hosts it’s tournaments at Bush Grapes Park in Rochester. The format and schedule is not released yet. Once released, it will be posted here and on our social media accounts. OCWA an NWLA recognized organization.
